Does Fifty’s ‘Magic Stick’ Belong to Somebody Else?
By PHATLAW Staff

According to PHATLAW sources, a record producer has sued 50 Cent, Lil’ Kim, and two record companies for failure to pay him royalties. Carlos Evans filed suit on Tuesday in Manhattan’s State Supreme Court alleging that he contracted with Rotten Apple Records in 2003 to produce, engineer, and mix the hit song “Magic Stick.” 50 Cent and Lil’ Kim performed the song and it sold 2 million copies. Evans claims that he is out $2million in back payment for royalties.
